In Plain English Please

Lintel, gluelam, screed, corbel – huh? Can you repeat that in plain english please! Whether you’re working with a contractor or doing renovations yourself, you’re bound to come across more than a few words that you just have no idea what they mean, let alone have heard them before. It’s hard enough working on designs, budgets, schedules and everything else that goes into a project than trying to figure out what everyone is talking about.

Knowing what to ask your contractor, or the person at the construction supply store, can save a lot of frustration before, during and after your project. And quite honestly, could save you a lot of money.

Below is a link to a comprehensive list of terms and phrases that you might run into. We’re constantly updating it but if there’s ever anything you’ve heard that isn’t listed below, get a hold of us. We’ll do our best to figure it out for you and make sure to add it to the list.
